In another edition of the program “Vamos Falar de Saúde”, broadcast on Rádio Huíla and hosted by Lucrécia Miguel, special guest Dr. António Kavole—a specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics—provided vital information regarding abnormal uterine bleeding and various conditions related to reproductive health.

During the program, the specialist clarified key concepts, addressing the most common underlying causes and recurring issues affecting patients, such as:

• Abnormal discharge
• Persistent pelvic pain
• Complications during pregnancy.

Dr. António Kavole highlighted the importance of early diagnosis and specified exactly when patients should immediately seek medical attention for clinical assessment and treatment.

The doctor emphasized that the female reproductive system is an extremely sensitive anatomical structure. As he noted, it is a vital system that, while capable of conceiving and giving life, can also be the source of serious, life-threatening complications. Because it is an environment susceptible to the growth and transmission of bacteria and other pathogens, it requires rigorous, ongoing hygiene, preventive care, and medical monitoring.

Later in the interview, while discussing breast lumps, the gynecologist-obstetrician dispelled a widespread myth by pointing out that breast cancer is not exclusively a female disease. He warned that men can also develop malignant breast tumors and must remain vigilant for any changes or palpable lumps in breast tissue.
