In the “Let’s Talk About Health” segment, an expert debunks myths about breastfeeding
During another edition of the radio program “Let’s Talk About Health,” Dr. Iracelma Mungulo clarified frequently asked questions about breastfeeding, highlighting the issue of the baby’s thirst and the influence of the mother’s age on milk production.
According to the specialist, breast milk is complete and contains all the water necessary for the baby, even in hot climates, and the introduction of water is not recommended in the first six months of life. “When the baby breastfeeds on demand, he receives sufficient hydration through the milk itself,” she explained.
Regarding maternal age, Dr. Iracelma Mungulo stated that age, in itself, does not interfere with the quantity or quality of breast milk. The most important thing is frequent breast stimulation, correct latch, and monitoring by healthcare professionals.
The doctor also emphasized that family support, the mother’s confidence, and proper guidance are decisive factors for the success of breastfeeding.
Exclusive breastfeeding until six months continues to be recommended as it guarantees fundamental benefits for the baby’s growth and health.
Fever in children highlighted in the program “Let’s Talk About Health”
The radio program “Let’s Talk About Health” featured an edition dedicated to fever in children, with the participation of Dr. Cíntia Francisco, clarifying frequent doubts from parents and caregivers.
Among the listeners’ questions, the following stood out:
João: “Regardless of the infection, can the fever be viral or not?”
Paulo: “Is it normal for a child to have a fever after receiving a vaccine?”
Anonymous: “When a child has a fever, is it recommended to give them a bath?”
Dr. Cíntia explained that fever is a natural response of the body, not always a sign of serious infection, and reinforced the importance of observing other symptoms and seeking medical advice when necessary. She also clarified that fever after vaccination is common and usually temporary, and that bathing can be done gently for the child’s comfort, without exaggeration.
This edition brought reliable medical information closer to the community, contributing to safer decisions in childcare and reinforcing the prevention of unnecessary risks.
Initiatives like this reaffirm the Liberatos Group’s commitment to health literacy and the well-being of families.
Program “Let’s Talk about Health” opens 2026 with a focus on child vaccination

During the conversation, the specialist clarified frequently asked questions about the population and directly addressed some of the taboos associated with non-adherence to vaccination.
